LBS Successfully Begins Contract in Naples, Italy

On March 1, 2023, LBS began performing Air Terminal Ground Handling Services (ATGHS) to all US Government owned or operated aircraft, US sponsored foreign government or civil aircraft, coalition forces aircraft, and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) aircraft at the Naval Support Activity (NSA) Naples.

The project provides the US Navy and the Department of Defense (DoD) the capability to facilitate key operations in Italy. NSA Naples acts as a staging point for air crews, supports DV operations and aircraft operations in the Mediterranean. The project is staffed with local Italian nationals to support the Naples community and neighboring areas.  

As the first American company to deliver on-site ATGHS at the NSA Naples, LBS implemented a coordinated approach with its workforce, US Government agencies, and Italian national trade unions to satisfy legal permission, safety policy, staffing, training, equipment, and operational planning needs. LBS mobilized rapidly to ensure the project was delivered on time and according to quality standards.

LBS’ ATGHS agreement in Naples serves as an opportunity to support the US Navy, while continuing to expand its global capabilities and scope of work as a trusted partner to federal government agencies.
