The PAXs Manager, Manolo Algeria, and his Deputy, Estefania Rodriguez, were presented with an award for designing an “easy to use” Green List which identified each NEO without error! Agencies such as the FBI, CBP, US Embassy Spain, TSA, and the Rota NAVSTA leadership fully recognized the importance of such list, making Rota the First Station throughout Europe to process families heading back to CONUS without major challenges.

Mario “Marty” Reyes, LBAS Station, stated; “I am so happy with my team’s performance and dedication in supporting such a memorable event (Operation Allies Refuge), the best part of all this is was seeing the HOPE in the eyes of entire Afghan families heading to the US!”

LBS supports Operation Allies Refuge

Operation Allies Refuge was the US Department of State’s mission to evacuate US citizens, lawful permanent residents, Special Immigration Visa applicants, and other vulnerable populations from Afghanistan as quickly and safely as possible.

LBS conducts essential airport support services abroad in Europe and the Middle East where the US Government has established key transit locations for evacuees before their continued travel to the United States and other locations.

LBS personnel successfully orchestrated an unprecedented movement of evacuees on both commercial and military aircraft at Kuwait International Airport and NAVSTA Rota.  LBS personnel continue to work around the clock to process inbound and outbound passengers with TSA, DOS, CBP, and other government agencies to ensure an efficient, thorough, and most importantly compassionate processing of passengers.

We are honored and proud to have been part of moving a significant portion of the 100,000 evacuees airlifted from Afghanistan, which aligns with our humanitarian values and is at the core of everything we strive to do as a company.
