LBS receives recognition for role in Operations Allies Refuge
September 22, 2021The Rota Spain LBAS Passenger Service (PAXs) Department received recognition from the TSA leadership based in Miami, Florida for the outstanding support in assisting in the transportation via air terminal of over 2100 evacuees from Afghanistan in military and commercial flights back to the US from August 27 to September 14. The PAXs Manager, Manolo Algeria, and his Deputy, Estefania Rodriguez, were presented with an award for designing an “easy to use” Green List which identified each NEO without error! Agencies such as the FBI, CBP, US Embassy Spain, TSA, and the Rota NAVSTA leadership fully recognized the importance of such list, making Rota the First Station throughout Europe to process families heading back to CONUS without major challenges.
