Forward Operating Base Dwyer Power Plant & Distribution System

Scope

When US Forces in Afghanistan were looking for a contractor to operate and maintain its government furnished power plant and underground electrical distribution system at Forward Operating Base Dwyer, the most remote base located in Helmand Province, LBS stepped up to meet the challenge.  At this outpost, we currently provide all personnel, equipment, tools, spare parts and consumables to ensure 99.9% reliable power from a 10 MW powerplant.  Additionally, we provide our own life support area for our personnel to live and operate. Our supply chain originates in Dubai and utilizes a combination of commercial air freight and military aircraft to reach this remote location. We also perform incidental construction to connect new facilities to the electrical distribution system.
